Traditional Braces

Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are similar to traditional braces, but they use ceramic for the brackets instead of metal. Ceramic braces are less noticeable than traditional braces and work faster than clear aligners like Invisalign®. However, they are more costly than the traditional option and more visible than Invisalign.
Invisalign
Invisalign is an immensely popular straightening solution for patients who want discreet orthodontics treatment. Invisalign achieves results through the use of virtually invisible clear aligners. These aligners can be removed to make eating and oral hygiene easy. They also avoid bracket and wire breakage. However, Invisalign may not be able to solve complex cases.

Dr. Amer Shammaa
Our Orland Park, IL, team includes five dentists who each specialize in their own area of expertise. Our orthodontist is Dr. Amer Shammaa. Dr. Shammaa earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from West Virginia University. He has since dedicated his career to resolving our patients' misalignment issues. In doing so, he has heightened his ability to take care of everything from minor cases to severe jaw misalignment.
